Baltimore Washington Medical Center offers generous continuing education benefits not only for formal academic programs, but also for classes and conferences that will enhance your particular knowledge and skill set. The ongoing professional development of our staff is a high priority for us, and adds to the value of your professional contributions. We offer pay incentives both for BSN-prepared RN’s and for national specialty certification. Recently, we formed a partnership with the College of Notre Dame of Maryland to offer an accelerated on-site RN to BSN program. We have a commitment to supplying nurses with the resources they need to provide high quality patient care. The result is high patient satisfaction scores, well above the national average.

Nurse Internship

If you are just beginning your career as a registered nurse, you will benefit from our highly acclaimed 7-10 week nurse internship program that gently introduces you to your RN role and responsibilities. This program provides you with the opportunity not only to achieve competency in psychomotor skills, but even more importantly, it will help you to become adept at integrating critical thinking and technical ability. The goal of the program is to ensure a painless transition from the student to novice RN role, under the guidance of a clinical nurse educator. To help jump-start you on your way, we offer generous concurrent or retrospective payment of school-related expenses for the last four semesters of your nursing program.
